He was a news correspondent in Baghdad from 2003 to 2008 for \u003ci\u003eTélé\u003c\/i\u003e (now CNews), \u003ci\u003eOuest France\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eLa Croix\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eLe Point\u003c\/i\u003e. In 2008, Alani returned to Paris to work on the television newsmagazine \u003ci\u003eL'Effet papillon\u003c\/i\u003e. He is the cofounder of the production companies Baozi Prod and In Sight Films. He earned his master's degree in animation at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 2009.
